How a facility visit works

1. Send me the facility name, the signer’s information, and the document that needs notarizing.
2. I confirm that facility’s visitation and notary-access rules — each one has its own scheduling, ID, and clearance procedures, and they differ more than people expect.
3. I travel to the facility, verify the signer’s identity as Florida law requires, and complete the notarization on site.
4. You receive the completed, notarized document.

What these visits cost

Facility visits are quoted per job rather than at the standard mobile rate. The time involved is mostly not the signing: it is check-in, security screening, waiting for the signer to be brought out, and scheduling around the facility’s own visitation windows. Which facilities do you visit?

Access rules vary by facility, and some require clearance arranged in advance. Contact me with the specific facility and I will confirm whether I can get in and what it takes.

How far ahead do I need to schedule?

Further ahead than a standard mobile signing. Visitation scheduling and security clearance both take time, so contact me as early as you can.

Can you notarize without the signer present?

No. Florida law requires the notary to personally witness the signature. I have to be physically present with the signer at the facility.

What if the facility turns us away?

It happens, usually over paperwork or a scheduling change made without notice. This is why I confirm access rules before travelling rather than after.

What I cannot do

I cannot draft your document, advise on what a power of attorney should say, or give any guidance on the signer’s case — those are legal questions, and answering them would be practising law without a licence. I also cannot arrange visitation rights or clearance on your behalf; that is between you and the facility.
